Grime music videos
Grime music videos have used similar locations for the last 17 years. The most used are; Urban streets, parks, food joints and domestic environments. This is due to many Grime artists coming from poor backgrounds and not being to afford expensive locations, props and costumes therefore they use locations that are close to where they live. For example SL's Gentlemen was filmed on his block, in his local chicken shop and the streets of where he lives.
The costumes consist of what they wear in everyday life, they cover their faces to mask their identity, this is common across lot of Grime/Drill music.

Traditionally grime videos don't necessarily portray a story visually, the artists will speak about past events however often the artist is simply featured framed centrally with a collection of shots in either minimal locations or a variety of locations. This is still common in today's grime videos, however in recent years there has been heavy focus upon the production value of grime videos. Konan's track Last night in LA is a great example of this, there is few locations, he's surrounded by multiple people and he is framed centrally throughout the video.
However we are planning to have elements of narrative in our music video as well as aspects of traditional grime music videos. We will use a variety of clearly branded clothing in different locations. As our song 'Picture me' has some deep lyrics we can easily portary what they mean on screen by doing this.
